Gaye Gronlund taught preschool and kindergarten in both regular and special education, and evolved into a consultant as she began to write articles and books, and give presentations around the country. Now, she devotes her time exclusively to helping teachers, administrators, and policy makers implement the best approaches when teaching and assessing young children.
 
Clients have included the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), the National Institute for Early Education Research (NIEER), the State of Minnesota Department of Education, the State of New Mexico Office of Child Development and PreK Program, the Illinois State Board of Education, the Indiana Department of Education, the South Carolina Department of Education, and schools and programs throughout the United States.
